INSIGHT EARLY LEARNING
Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to our FAQ page! Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we receive. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact your local Insight Early Learning centre or submit an enquiry through our website.
To enrol your child, select your location and fill out the enquiry form. An Insight Early Learning team member will contact you to guide you through the next steps. This includes discussing available spaces, arranging tours, and answering any questions about the centre. Major enrolment periods occur in December/January, but we also accept enrolments throughout the year. If you prefer, you can contact us directly to begin the process.
Yes, we offer part-time full-day places. Families who choose part-time care are encouraged to select either a Monday or a Friday as part of their package.
Our waitlists are regularly reviewed, and families are contacted as soon as a place becomes available. There is no cost to join the waitlist, but we ask that you notify us if you no longer need a place.
Fees vary depending on the centre, the number of days your child is enrolled, your child’s age, and eligibility for government subsidies. Please reach out to your Centre Director, who can provide you with a tailored quote.
The daily fees cover nappies, sunscreen, all meals (including dairy and soy milk), morning tea, a hot lunch, afternoon tea, and late snacks. Our menu is designed to meet 80% of your child’s daily nutritional needs.
Yes. We create a medical action plan for children with specific health needs and cater individually to children with cultural or dietary requirements. Please speak to your Centre Director for more details on how we can accommodate your child.
Orientation gives both you and your child a chance to get to know our team and educators in their classroom. Over 3-4 visits, you and your child will become familiar with the environment and routines, while we get to know your child’s individual needs. Orientation days may be adjusted at the Centre Director’s discretion. For more information, check out our Preparing for Your First Day guide.
Our services close on public holidays, but normal fees still apply for the day, as staff and operational costs need to be covered. The Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) covers up to 42 absence days a year, which includes public holidays. If your child has not exceeded the 42-day quota, CCS will apply to your fees.
Yes, fees still apply if your child is sick. CCS will cover up to 42 absence days per year without documentation. If your child has more than 42 absences due to illness, you can provide a medical certificate to claim additional CCS-covered days.
Normal fees apply for absences, including holidays. However, we offer a 20% discount on the gap fee for up to two weeks of holidays per year. Speak to your Centre Director for more details.
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is available to families to help with the cost of childcare. You can check your eligibility through the Department of Human Services website. Depending on your circumstances, you may also be eligible for additional government assistance.
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government payment introduced on 2 July 2018. It replaces the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate. CCS is means-tested and depends on your combined family income, the number of recognised activity hours, and the type of childcare service your child attends. The more eligible activity hours (work, study, volunteering), the higher your CCS entitlement.
Each of our centres has its own specific opening hours, which you can find on their individual pages. All Insight Early Learning services are open 52 weeks a year, closing only on public holidays. We also close early at 4 PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve if they fall on a weekday to allow our staff to spend time with their families.
