Together, we’ll monitor your child’s progress, keeping you informed and engaged at every stage of their development. You’ll receive regular updates, including assessments, classroom visits, and personalised action plans for your child’s upcoming transition.
Putting Children First
At Insight Early Learning, every child is unique, and we take pride in recognising their individuality throughout the Moving On Up process. Rather than transitioning based on age alone, we consider each child’s developmental readiness, ensuring that they—and you—are comfortable with the move.
Children will have the chance to visit their new classroom multiple times before the official move, allowing them to get to know their new surroundings, educators, and peers. This gradual introduction helps to build confidence and familiarity, making the transition feel exciting rather than daunting.

From developmental checklists and personalised action plans to regular updates via our Xplor HOME app, we’ll ensure that you are well-informed and prepared for your child’s next steps.

Summative Assessment of Learning
We track your child’s learning and development throughout the year, ensuring that the transition is planned based on progress and readiness. These insights are shared with you through observations in the Xplor HOME app.
Moving On Up Action Plans
We’ll compare your child’s current classroom and routine with their new one, making necessary adjustments to ease the transition. This action plan will be shared with families to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Visits Passport
To make the move exciting, we’ve created a Visits Passport that your child will receive after each visit to their new room. This passport marks each milestone and makes the transition journey fun and memorable for them.
Child-Led Insights
For children aged 3 and above, we encourage them to share their thoughts and feelings about the new classroom. This allows children to express their views, helping us ensure that their transition feels comfortable and welcoming.
Moving On Up for Every Age Group
Babies
Our Being with Babies program begins as early as six weeks, with a family-centered approach that helps babies settle into our care. With the support of a dedicated Baby Ambassador, your child’s individual needs will be met as they grow emotionally and socially, ready for their transition into the next learning phase.
Toddlers
Toddlers experience a time of bold exploration and curiosity. Our program ensures that, as they move through these years, they feel safe, supported, and empowered in their learning and socialisation.
Kindergarten & Preschool
As children prepare for school, we focus on their social, emotional, cognitive, and language development. The Moving On Up program helps assess their readiness to move to school readiness programs, ensuring continuity in their learning journey.
How the Moving On Up Program Works:
As your child approaches the time to transition, we’ll complete a developmental checklist to assess their readiness. You will receive a letter outlining the classroom transition plan, along with personalised updates to help guide your child’s move. We also encourage families to share feedback and collaborate on their child’s next steps.
