Connecting children to the wider community is an essential part of the care that Insight Early Learning provides. Recently, our Insight Early Learning Port Coogee centre visited our good friends at Regis Aged Care as part of our ongoing partnership with their facility.
Our children enjoyed getting to experience a modified version of Noodle Volleyball, and enjoyed sharing a delicious morning tea and catching up on stories since our last visit.
Research suggests bringing people of different ages together in an intergenerational program can provide benefits for all involved. These benefits can include: providing stimulation for older people and younger people learning from older people; and increased awareness and understanding between generations.
We look forward to our regular visits with our Regis friends and can’t wait for our next catch up soon!
